I finally got that dreaded call from Virginia. My Grandfather passed away early this morning. He was an awesome man. Several times as a young teenager, I would be tempted to do something wrong and the thought of my Grandfather finding out stopped me in my tracks. I just didn't want to disappoint him.
He always said, "I'd rather wear out than rust out". He was 92 and lived a very good life. He was cutting his own firewood and working around the farm until late last year.
I'll be headed to Virginia to support my Dad, Aunt & Uncles . . .I'll need some support too.

Perception trumps intention.
My condolences Scott, sure sounds he had much to do with you growing up to be a decent person as you are. I sure wish I had someone like that in my life.

My condolances. I lost both of my grandfathers two years ago. Only a week apart from each other. Cherish those memories and he will never really be gone.
Sorry to hear of this Scott, you are in my thoughts, take care in your trip.
