Chase a Moose

Post by bbbwb »

This is an awesome sight but if done be careful.
Leading up to the fall hunting season, back off as a bull can turn and charge the vehicle. The damage could be stranding.

Most likely the picture was taken from the front of the train. We hit alot of deer here with trains. You just hear it you dont feel it at all. Cool picture!

Awesome pic, I heard it wasnt a train, too low for a train, I think it was those trucks with train wheels on them, heard the tracks were 56" wide so that shows how big that bull was.

Alaska railroad

Post by aimpoint1 »

I lived in Alaska in the mid-eighties. After an exceptionally deep snowfall, many moose find the tracks an easy route to travel. Over a 3-day period, the train killed about 80 moose. Hopefully, they have implemented some safeguards by now.

Hopefully the pic was not taken from the cowcatcher (or moose catcher).

Here's one I seen awhile ago

Every time you kill a coyote an angel gets a set of wings. OK, I made that up. But it should be the case.
