New Bow (pic added)

Post by ecoaster »

After a few weeks of searching and test shooting, I decided on a new compound bow. Got a 2009 Matthews Reezen 7.0. It is a single cam, light bow that has virtually no vibration. The 80% let off is sweet. Can't wait to dial it in.

Found the best deal at Erie Tracker Outfitters in Port Colborne. Bumped into John there too. Funny how some people are attracted to the same spots  . Great service and a nice shop.

Still trying to figure out how to handle pictures with Windows Vista :x , so I will post some pictures of the rig and groupings when I get a chance.

P.S. I hate VISTA!

When you connect to a USB port Vista should recognize the device and activate the windows photo downloader. After that you will need to process them through something like photoshop. I hate Vista. Sweet bow though !!

Nice to see you again. That bow is very nice. 8) That is the only store I buy from, except Bass Pro when I'm going that way, or Shooter's choice on line. Dave is good people. I like to go there when I can just to feel at home. :) Even if not buying anything. Have fun with that Sweet New Toy. :!:

Dialed the bow in today. Not very much room between my 20 and 30 yard pins  . This thing is fast, IBO speed is 335 fps. Could only see the arrow flight at 30 yards. Shot a 6 arrow group from 20 yards and they were all inside of 1.5". Don't know how I still have all the fletchings  . At 30 yards all 6 were in the 3" circle. It was a bit windy, so I'm hoping to tighten the groups beyond 20 yards.

Shot it about 60 times in a hour and only started to tire near the end. Very smooth draw and stable. Love the hardwood grip. Very comfortable.

I'll have to chrono the setup, but I'm guessing its around 320 fps or so.
