Uncle Ted says...

Post by bigsy »

Ted Nugent said:

"My idea of fast food is a mallard."

"Vegetarians are cool. All I eat are vegetarians - except for the occasional mountain lion steak."

"Political Correctness is about turning a blind eye to painful reality because your comfortable feelings are more important to you than saving lives and providing quality of life to people who work their ass off to be productive and are a benefit to this great American Dream."

"There are hundreds of millions of gun owners in this country, and not one of them will have an accident today. The only misuse of guns comes in environments where there are drugs, alcohol, bad parents, and undisciplined children. Period."

"You have to save the habitat, you have to save the population - not individual animals. What you want to save is the foundation, the basic infrastructure from which resources are produced. You can't save Fifi and Boo-Boo and Thumper."

"Whenever I donate a hunting trip for the Children's Leukemia Foundation, Ronald McDonald Cancer House, all these children's charities, I offer the anti-hunters an opportunity: if you donate more to the children's charity than the hunters donate we won't go hunting."

Back in 1991 and 1992 I became the Ontario Director for Ted Nugents World Bowhunters Organization. This was a huge honour for for me. Patti and I attended 4 concerts backstage and attended 2 director meetings with Ted and his family at his house in Jackson Michigan, 2 years in a row. These outings I will never forget, thats for sure. He also mentioned my name a few times while DJ'ing on 101 WRIF in Detroit.
Unfortunatly, to streamline things he kept only the Canadian Director and reduced his US directors to North, East, South and Western positions.

Just recently I found his DVD at Walmart, "The Best Of" the "Spirit of the Wild". A must see if you like Uncle Ted.

If everyone of us could "capture the spirit" and spoke up for our sport as Ted does, our clan would be so obnoxious and so fast tongued, anti's could not get a word in. Go Ted. Growing up in the 70's, I listened to my Double Live Gonzo album (for the younger crowd, a thing like a cd that held music) so many times, I think I wore out 3 of them. I saw Ted about 5 times in concert, and as in all he does, puts his heart into it. Ted Rocks for sure.
