Unfortunately this is something that is being done a lot. Too much emphasis is place on the value of a monster rack and deer. Some would do just about anything just to kill one for the recognition and some are in it solely for the money. Take a look on E-bay and see what some of the 150 to 180 class bucks are going for. Its ridicules! Hunting should be about time spent with family and friends, the memories and food, not the fact that you may have killed something bigger than your neighbors or how much you will be able to get out of a magnificent buck that died for human greed or lust.

when the competition gets to the point of being driven to disregard all respect for yourself or your quarry, it is beyond the pale of acceptable...that is the kind of behavior that is the equivalent of a criminal act of another type...inability to see consequences.. not caring on the costs...a sociopath or borderline personality disorder seems the culprit...
and he is sorely in need of a terrible a$$whooping..
that is a scientific medical fact.

Not nearly enough. A fool, no, make that idiot, acting as a hunter, albeit a lying one. We're I the judge he'd be paying at least $50,000, 30 days and loss or hunting privileges.
What compounds the act is the self deception. It's like posing with a cardboard cutout of Cheryl Tieggs as your date.

He will definitly lose his hunting rights in Ohio for a minimum of 4 years.
They will some times take your gun/bow. They will probably not give any jail time. I would quess this guy won't care about the hunting rights he will be hunting some were next year.

Fine the crap out of them and if they can't come up with the cash then let them work it off on a chain gang doing Road repairs or building a border wall. Poachers rarely stop because they can't buy a license.
