The Eagles Have Landed

Post by Maritimer »

I thought I would share a few pictures. We have lots of eagles here on Vancouver Island and I never get tired of seeing them for they are such a magnificent bird.

Wow, that's a lot of Eagles! Is that some form of resting/feeding area?

Very cool, Maritimer! :D

We've got some bald eagles around here, and occasionally I'll see one here on the farm ... but nothing like that!

Neat pictures! :D

Its a little park on the side of the road were you can stop and take in the view. This winter a local fishermen started putting out some pieces of fish for the eagles. It is nice to stop and watch the birds, my wife and I both enjoy watching the eagles and also the smiles on the childrens faces. :D

You are lucky. In Ontario bald eagles are just barely making a comeback. In the past ten years I think I have two confirmed sightings.
