This data was compiled from the forum members that reported their data over the last two seasons. Deer kill only.

Average recovery was reported in yards from POI to where the deer dropped.

There were 4 deer reported that were not recovered . . .two were hit with Wasp Boss and two with Slick Tricks.

I want to thank everyone that reported their data.

Thank's sumner. 8) That is good data to read about.
I have used many of them mentioned, except a couple.
I think this season I may break with tradition and try a new one.

the thunderhead and the gator, were they poor hits to cause the deer to go that far?

Mike, I don't recall the stories behind some of the long recoveries. There were eight 200+ yard recoveries. Slick Trick(2) and Wasp(4) had six of those. However, if it were a poor hit, then was it human error or a bad broadhead that caused it? We will never know for sure.

The data is raw based on the "estimates" and input from the members. I like the raw data. No commercial biases. We are not selling anything here.

We need a lot more input before any real conclusions can be made. After a few more seasons, we will probably get a better feel for the broadheads and their ability to harvest. So, please include your broadhead and recovery data when you post your pictures.

im not sure if I submitted my rage distance for this years buck:-P

0 yards since it was a straight down shot(dropped in tracks)

thanks for all the data and regardless every head seems to work. Its just a matter of what you like best. Like you said also, shot placement is key along with how spooked the deer was. Someone could shoot fieldpoints and have zero yard tracking if they shoot for the spine;)
