Name Game

Post by Mike P »

I can't take it anymore. I thought I was over it until I saw the post voting for the best picture in the 2008 contest. (Notice I mentioned the contest so I get to post this under crossbow hunting.) It was like a dagger was stuck between my ribs. Here is a new member. He has two posts. And his name is mike.

What? Just mike! That's it? No initial? How can that be? .

Well I have had enough! I won't stand for anymore. There were already way too many Mike's around here and now we have just plain mike. Something has to be done. And I am going to take the first step.

It is time to change my forum name. I have never had a real cool or hip name like awshucks, crazyfarmer, Boo or Vix. Why everyone around here has a better forum name then me. It is just not fair.

I thought about changing my name to Harold Fickle but that would just be a copy cat move. I think a name should be indicative of the person, should tell something about the person. Therefore unless something better comes up I am changing my name to Ramone. It speaks of soft Caribbean nights under the stars with me playing the roll of a hot Latin lover. Yeah, that's it, Ramone. I like it.

But to be fair I am open to suggestions for a new name.

Got any?

Ramone? Hmmm... maybe not.

I think it's too late to change your name - you'll always be Mike P to us no matter what other handle you might adopt. (Well, Mike P for most of us, anyways!   )

Damm! Mike, you're something else! Now you pick on my choice of screen name! You should be ashamed of yourself!

I got my 1st computer ever just to view this forum. I quickly learned whilst practicing on other sites that "awsh*t" while appropriate to my cyber abilities and circumstances, was not socially acceptable.

Now you need a new name? Heh Heh Heh!! Got to give this some deep thought.

Ramone is out. If you feel a pressing need for something temporary, perhaps Roam-On since you travel so much.
