Dry fire in progress

Post by theoldarcher »

Found this clip today on youtube. I felt bad for the guy but what was even worse was the fact that you see it coming... and wish you could just yell at the guy to stop before he breaks the strings off his crossbow.

 Ouch!

I'd say the guy was remarkably cool about it all, considering.

Hope it didn't hurt his bow.

Great clip!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not being a smarty, either. That clip shows you just how easy it is to do.
It looks like the shooter was so involved in trying to film the clip he was distracted from the basic cocking & loading sequence - and what happened (dry fire) is always a possible result!

A good lesson for all of us there!

My wife comes onto the seen sometimes passing through talking at me about some chore I haven't done yet and I've learned to tune her out! :D
I learned how to tune out my wife while on our honeymoon.

The dry fire prevent him from wrecking his bolt with a Robin Hood, as he states "I am going to aim at the nock." But I don't think he had to worry about that, he wasn't shooting an Excalibur. :D

Did anyone check out the other crossbow videos? The one with the guy robbing a store with small crossbow is kinda funny. It looks like he shoots and misses. Then trys to reload, but gets chased out of the store by the teller with a bat. Funny stuff.
Take it easy.
