O/T Thats gotta hurt

Post by Maritimer »

Two friends a I were out doing some shooting last fall getting ready for hunting season. My hunting partner had just bought this new rifle a 300 short mag and he was quite anxious to fire it. He had fired 2 shots and everything was alright but when he fired the 3rd shot the scope hit him, so he adjusted the scope forward and we filmed his next shot. This is what happened. Click on the clip to see what happened

I think the part that would hurt the most is having a buddy post it on the internet!! :D

How many of us haven't done that in the past

Over the course of our shooting/hunting careers, who here hasn't felt the cold steel ring of that dreaded scope impact the nose or brow. After all these years I still laugh at myself for drawing blood.

And now we know why most folks can't shoot MAGNUMS well. Well, perhaps well but certainly not accurately,

That's proof positive that being over-gunned increases wear and tear.

Using large calibers in North American game animals is like using a sledge hammer to kill a fly. Unfortunately, some folks just don't get it. I suppose that's why the Exomax is Excalibur's biggest seller. At least it's good for business.
