Any problems with lumizone scope??

Post by PABOWDUDE60 »

While I was at the archery shop yesterday. the guy tried to steer me clear of the lumizone scope. He said there were problems with it but he wouldn't tell me what. He said to stick with the varizone. Has anyone had any problems with their lumizone scope??

when they 1st came out there had been abit of crosshair turning in the barrel. that was quickly taken care of and all the scopes could be returned for new one or traded with some dealers for the varizone. so as far as i know nothing in over a year with any problems

There was a brief issue with the scopes, but it was looked after by Excalibur. They are terrific scopes for the money and a great addition to the bow.

Have had the Lumizone for over a year now with out any trouble . It has been used in some very nasty weather , heavy rain and extreme cold with no trouble .

Have had the Drop Zone model and the Varizone with only the Varizone having any trouble . It fogged up after a couple years of use . Called Excalibur and a new one was shipped to me in a few days . You can not beat their customer service .

I have two lumizones and the high dollar lighted tru-glo which has never worked right no trouble with either lumizone other than an occasional eraser treatment to the inside of the battery case

Have had NO problems with mine.
Would recommend it to anyone. Like the lighted capabilities.

Thanks for all the replies on my posts. I think I will be buying the Equinox with the lumizone Scope package. Greg Ratcliff.

Good choice Greg.
A little word of caution though, the dealer that misinformed you may not be right up to date on what he is selling. The bow and scope package you are looking at is considered one of the best out there, enjoy it.

I was told there was a batch that were bad.. The 2 I got both the crosshairs twisted (broke free) inside the scope . Called Ecal and was told that. So I exchange for the Varizone and foung its just as good in low light.

Luckily I have 2 bow shops within 12 miles of my house that sell Excalibur. I won't be buying from that guy!
