I realize that posting this may be a bit arrogant, given that Excal offers a branded rangefinder mount but I've build my own much lighter and more cost-effective version and thought I'd share. I hope that Excal refines this product to make it lighter and more useable, to justify the high retail pricetag.
The rangefinder mount offered by Excal is (IMO) far too heavy (seems to be made of steel and lots of it) and far too expensive ($35 retail) to be of use. My homemade version is a weaver scope mount I had lying around, a $7 base and some small bits of aluminum to make the platform. The aluminum platform is wrapped in adhesive velcro. It's bolted to the base with the nuts protruding through the top. I used the nuts as a shoulder to fit the rangefinder a bit better because it has no straight edges. The top and bottom are bowed. You can see the bumps under the velcro. Since I'm a lefty, I build the platform offset a little to the right.
The end result cost less than $10 and weighs only a couple oz.
Excals rangefinder mount is a brainchild of a member here.. The weight has a lot to do with the recoil absorbency of the bow, they didn't make it heavy to make you upset, they made it compatible with inexpensive rangefinders, like the one in your photo.
An inverted scope ring is child's play, a mount that can withstand constant abuse requires an engineer, or an engineered design.

would a range mount work if I brought a Ground Pounder
I don't have both to have them in my hands and say for sure. But have heard that the rangefinder will work with my mount if you remove the quiver while shoooting. It will see over the mount but not through the quiver. I always remove my quiver myself when I get to where I'm hunting and mainly use the mount while walking and transporting.

If I were to offer feed back it would be concerning why your serving is an inch and a half longer on the left side of your bow than it is on the right, but hey, who's looking anyways.
