Pulled out flat nock

Post by Ibex »

Hi everyone,

I am the new owner of an Ibex. I put it together, lubed the serving, mounted a scope and in 3 shots was hitting the center of the bull at 20 yards. Amazing.

Anyway, I was removing a Firebolt from my "Block" using the arrow removing tool I made and pulled the nock out of the arrow.

Do I need to clean up the nock or inside of the arrow, and what glue do I use to glue it back in?

Q-tip with isopropyl alcohol to clean it up, then some super glue will slip it right back in. Spin it as you insert it to spread the glue evenly.
If it were me I would want the same glue as what it once had, but I truly do not know what that arrow is made of.

If you never ever want it to come back out, then use gorilla glue. You will be stuck with it then. Very small amount, it expands. Warning . . .it never comes out.

Welcome to the forum. I have also used crazy glue to glue in the inserts. Then I am able to remove the bolts from the block target without the inserts coming out. The tool I made threads into the rear insert. I have read on the forum here that there is someone who has made an improved bolt removing tool. The name escapes me at the moment, but one of the good folks here will fill in the blanks :)

Danny Miller makes the puller that you want, it is the best when it comes to pulling arrows without damage.

Welcome to the forum, Ibex! :D

Get yourself a pliers-type puller from Dan. You won't be sorry! 8)
