Every time you kill a coyote an angel gets a set of wings. OK, I made that up. But it should be the case.

Because it's Ontario! I'm sure somewhere there is a township that has a bylaw restricting discharging of firearms on a holiday.

I've been meaning to ask a similar question. I know Sunday "hunting" is only permitted in certain areas. How about Sunday shooting? I was always under the impression that you could target shoot on Sundays just not hunt in certain areas. Anyone know for sure or is this also going to be a area specific thing?

Thanks,

Well if anyone has something to say to me about discharging one today, they better find me before it's to late! I'll be firing this afternoon. Undisclosed location.

We've got no problems using our range on Sundays. I can't imagine shooting would be a problem.

I didn't have any issues while shooting today.
The reason I asked is My Range "Galt sportsman" Had signs everywhere that is closed on Good Friday. In the members manual it says its only closed Good Friday and Chrismas.
Just made me wonder.

if i remember correctly..
is that in some areas it is prohibitted to discharge a firearm for the purpose of hunting
if you dont stand behind our troops.

Perhaps there was/is a strong Christian presence in your area, and the Sportsman's Club decided to close in honor of Christ on those days?

Strange to think they wouldn't close on Easter, too, if that's the case!

My understanding of the Sunday law is there is-- No Discharge of a firearm for the purpose of Hunting. Hense bow hunting is allowed becuase it is not a firearm., plus all gun ranges operate on Sundays

It will be a municipal by-law, check with your township. This time of the year it would be difficult to believe that anyone would hear it from a reasonable range with everyone still having their windows closed.
