Ill post more info later... But first day and one bird down. I went to my spot for the bird I had seen but didnt hear anything so I pulled out and left. I went to a different spot and as soon as I got out of the truck, he was in the corner of the field gobbling. I had him come by 4 different times under 40 yards, but I couldnt tell how long his beard was so I passed. He was red hot the whole time and wouldnt stop gobbling. I ended up switching locations in the woods and finallyafter 1 hour of calling he came in the right way and ended up 10 yards from the decoy.
I have pics of the measurements, but he was 21 pounds with 10 1/2th inch beard and 7/8'th spurs
excuse the bad pics since its flooding rain here right now

Thanks everyone.. definitly started things off good this year. I went afterwards and tried callin for a friend that had 2 birds in a field he could hunt, but those never would come in close enough.
Wes, things worked out pretty good here. The rain held off untill 11:30 here then it poured for a good 2 hours.
Not sure if ill enter in the contest with this one but here are the required pics I think.
Bread - 10.5 inches exactly(longest strand hits 10.5 exactly)
Spurs(both) - 7/8ths
Pic with shotgun(had to take in my garage since it decided to pour rain outside but it serves the purpose if needed)
license showing the 08-09 season with 1 turkey tag notched with the call in number for the bird. I cut out part of the license since it has personal information on the top half(ID number and etc)
I had to take all of these myself on the tripod so they arent great pics but they work I guess.

Great bird Crazy and what a way to start this off! You're entered in the contest but I have not scored this one as your entry until you officially notify. For all involved, we need pic of both spurs measured as they will be totalled and then added to your score. Crazy, is the other spur 7/8's as well? If so, just add the pic to this posting.
