Well my buddy and I headed to the Whirlpool today for some steelies. Well after about 30min of fishing, I had hooked and landed a nice buck on a Pink Roe bag. After seeing another guy catch about 3 or 4 we figured roe was the way to go. Only one problem, when we went back after we released the fish and took some pictures our roe was gone. Our guess was while we were landing the fish it got blown into the water as it was in a bag. So we tried everything else that looked like roe, yarn flies, sucker spawn, single egg yarn immitations, and even some minnow immitations. But nothing. So we also tried the glen with no luck there. Heres the buck I caught and released.

Nice fish! Wanting to do some Steel Head flyfishing myself this year. Possibly the Trinity River in California if we can work it out.
