finaly pumped for turkey hunting

i have been trying for a month to get hold of a farmer for permission to hunt his farm .this morning i drove past at 6:30 am and saw him getting in his truck so stopped and talked with him .i told him i was looking for a place to take my daughter close to home to try for her first turkey and he said go rigth ahead and good luck seems like a nice guy glad i met him. now for the best part as we stood talking there where 8 mature toms in full strut at the back of the farm i know a lot can change in the next 10 days but i have my fingers crossed and this afternoon the daughter and i are going after school to build a couple of brush blinds

just got back home we built 2 nice blinds .there are lots of tracks and spots where they bath in the sand

That's excellent. At least you are seeing turkeys, I just went to the 3 farms this morning , I didn't even see a feather let alone a turkey. Hope that changes in 10 days
