I've never used any of Muzzy's 145 grain heads, Chris, but I've piled up a stack of deer using their 125 grain heads. I've never had a Muzzy head fail me or disappoint me in any way. Never had a shot that wasn't a pass-through, even through the shoulders or spine (I was using a 90 lb. bow at the time).

I'm sure their 145 grain heads would be just fine ... the construction is the same as the lighter ones. :D

The 145 would be especially good in a heavy arrow out of a heavy crossbow.

Grizz, I think Im going to give these heads a try. I like the Trocar tip and the 11/8 cut on 4 blades doesnt appear to have alot of surface area to cause planeing. Im going to try to take some strain off the limbs of my Exomax. Im hoping the use of a standard string versus a fast flite with a 145 grn head versus a 100 grn head will accomplish this. I'm really curious to see how theses heads will fly/group. Never used a head heavier than 100 grains. Thanks for sharing your experiance with the muzzy broadhead. Any one else used these heads and liked or disliked them? :D

I switched to the Muzzy 4 Blade last summer and they fly very nice. I do believe you need match the broadhead and arrow to you crossbow for the best performance. I'm using 130 grain.

I have some of the 100g Muzzy MX3s for my compound. They fly great and look real tough. I have yet to let one fly on a deer, but I'm hoping this is the year.
