I wanted to wish everyone a safe and succesful Turkey Season
I havent been out to much so no bird for me,it ends tomorrow.
I did shoot the beard off one.

My 4 year old is chomping at the bit to get out. But i think i will get through the first week then take him out.

I agree and want to thank each of you who are introducing your kids to this "thing of ours"! There is nothing more rewarding than to share it with the kids.

Last year my 4 year old and I got a nice bird together, this year she is just as excited about turkey season as me! Now my 2 year old wants to go like her big sister, all I hear is "go get tookie with Dad?, Hannah get tookie?"
An unsuccessful hunt with an excited kid beats a successful hunt by myself.

I pulled her out in a small silent wagon, laid a blanket on the ground and she played with Barbi until the moment the birds showed up. We had it planned out, she could look at them approach then when I gave her the word she would lay flat and cover her ears. It went smooth as clockwork.
She also helped clean the bird.
