newbe.......Update on Lumizone
Hello everyone, I am the proud owner of a new Ibex crossbow. First of all I would like to thank, bstout, Boo, saxman, Wabi, comfybear, crazyfarmer, rich, pydpiper, vixchix, Wyvern Creations, Dan Miller and all the others that have posted needed information. I've been working the search engine for information.....It's all there. Now.......The Lumizone, I am on my third Lumizone after sending the last two back for the crosshair problem, crosshair turning. The first two scopes went bad after only 15 shots. This last scope was from a new shipment and after more than 50 shots, it's doing fine. This new Lumizone is a little different. There are no click stops between the numbers on the rheostat. The dial will only click off, in both directions. I like this arrangment better because I don't have to look at the dial to know the lamp is off. Just ....Click and it's off. Dan Miller at Horizonal Archery, USA warranty center, was a joy to do business with and made everything right. If anyone is worried about getting a bad scope, but really wants a Lumizone, just get one. You may just learn something if you have to send it back. Thank you all, Dale

The avatar pic is one of a 35 lb. bobcat. I shot him a couple of years ago with a Rem. M-7 308. I wasn't hunting for him on that day, however I had heard people speak of a large bobcat roaming the area around my farm. I was leaving bobcats alone untill this one walked out about 50 yards in front of me. I could not believe my eyes at how big he looked. I have taken quite a few bobcats with a rifle and also a compound, as they seem to always be in the thick areas that I hunt. If you have an area that bobcats like, they will usually always be there. I will try to post more pics of him. I have one with him on the back of my four wheeler that really shows his size.
About fifteen years ago I was scouting a thick area around my pond and decided to rest and sit on a big rock. I was wearing that old tree bark camo and it did match that rock very well. I heard something behind me like someone was taking soft steps. I looked around and there, ten feet away, was a large bobcat stalking up behind me. We were looking at each other dead in the eyes. I reached for my 357 and he ran away. Clean my pants out man. I would assume that since I was being so still and only moving my head as I was watching the pond, the cat saw only my head moving and brown hair. It looked like dinner for him.

That is a whopper of a bobcat, Huntone!huntone wrote:The avatar pic is one of a 35 lb. bobcat.
They don't usually get that large here in the South, but once in a while you see a pretty big one. Here's a regular whopper that walked through my yard one day ... I let him go, and got a pic of him in the soybean stubble:
