Yep that's what is called an Excalibur Paradox in Canada or Buckmaster Maxpoint in the USA. It was a joint venture between Excalibur and Bear Archery. When Bear Archery was sold, production ceased.

A longtime friend of mine who is an instrument maker by trade says:
"As performance goes up...reliability goes down".
He says this is a true statement for any machine.
I also believe that

I shoot one and have no issues with it
May be slightly heavier but not that much
If you can pick it up for under $400 US go for it I paid $500 for mine used no regrets
A friend of mine picked up a new one in Hamilton at a place that was clearing everything out for $610
Mine is called the Paradox

I have heard nothing but good stuff about the wheeled Excalibur (Bear) bows, if one passes by me for the right price I will buy it and hunt with it.
Rumor has it that bows design was the fastest bow on the market, and in an attempt to maintain a "hunters perspective" and stay away from the whole speed issue it was de-tuned to shoot the speed it currently does. I don't know if that is true, but I think if anyone were to chase the speed demon and succeed, it would be an Excalibur design.

If you are not willing to learn, nobody can help you, if you are willing, nobody can stop you.

From what Danny told me, I don't think it was so much 'detuned' more a case of where they chose not to go w/ minor changes in pulleys, cables and I think a tad more rail length.
I did read on a forum somewhere a guy in Ok was getting well over 400 fps w/ mods he made. No idea what they were or arrow weight.
Had my grubbies on one from each country[marked] and they are a heck of a bow.
Also, have heard of 150# models quite a bit tamer. Think a member here has one.
