All you arrow builders/fixers, what do you recommend for a fletching jig? I need to be able to do a right helical with feathers.
Thanks,

If you are only planning on doing your own, then I would recommend the AZ-EZ . . .it's cheap and easy, plus it does a very good job of fletching. It's the only jig I've ever owned . . .so I can't really compare. I just like the ease of use and it's a simple compact unit, easy to store. The arrows fly straight, so I'm OK with it.

Yes ... Jo-Jan fletching jigs have a very good reputation among arrowmakers.bstout wrote:This is also a very nice fletching jig for vanes or feathers.
A longtime friend of mine owns one of these Mono-Fletchers by Jo-Jan and loves it.
I've used it a few times myself in the past. I own the Multi-Fletcher which is the "six at one time" version of this one. These Jo-Jan fletchers use gravity to hold the clamp in place. The weight of the clamp keeps pushing on the glue joint as it cures. Sort of a bungee effect.
These are nice fletching jigs too.
