You might be a redneck if?

Post by theoldarcher »

Here in the South most people look at us as being a bunch of rednecks. Jeff Foxworthy has made a very comfortable living making fun of us ol’ rednecks and even had a whole comedy routine about “You might be a redneck if”?

Well here is my contribution to that series and before you ask, yes it actually happened!

If you and your wife have ever argued over who is taking the kids to school and who is going to go hunting…..You might be a redneck!

How on earth did you get my phone number???? Seriously, I've been bit by the turkey bug bad, my cell phone's ringtone is 4 clucks, 2 gobbles, the sound of racking one into the chamber followed by the report of the shotgun.
Oh, and this is how I wake up every morning:

Did I mention that I love to turkey hunt

:D :D :D

CF, I can't believe that you don't have the "turkey tone" on your cell  . If you want it, send me a PM and I'll get it to ya. That goes for the rest of you red necks too.
God Bless !!!!!!!!!

Ray - that ROCKS!   Would make those 3 a.m. mornings just a little easier to take.

DoeMaster - I'm tempted to call just to hear your answering machine.

TPM and I usually have to take turns going out and I mostly hunt alone. Even on those rare occasions when we get out together for an afternoon, we hunt in separate spots on the same property - usually opposite ends, depending on the wind. I'm really fortunate that Tim's the kind of guy that doesn't get uptight about me going hunting with other guys from time to time. Would go out with other gals, but they're in short supply around here.

My boy start Jr. Kindergarten this fall. I'm praying for a flex-time job that will let me drop him off at school and then head to the farm!

Calling us rednecks wouldn't be an insult at all.

You got it, Grizz! I'm a lucky gal!

Tim knows it's good for me to be out in the woods... I come back a happier person, a better mother & wife. :D

You may be a redneck if you carry your taxidermist and butcher's business cards with you all the time.
