New Vortex!!!!

Post by Popacap »

I got my first crossbow yesterday! Put it together and took it to the range. Shot an arrow through their static target and the inch thick plywood backing buried it to the fletch at 20 yds. Thought to myself SWEET!!!!! I love it!!! Glad I went Excal vs The other guys. Nice to have read this forum before it came. Took rubber jar opener to get the arrows out. Worked perfect. Except for the 20 yard shot had to use my boot heel on that.

get "the block" crossbow target.. Ive had one for 4 years and still works great. I could always remove my bolts by hand and usually they never went past half way into the target :D

you will save yourself vanes and inserts that way.. btw, dont shoot into plywood LOL

not good for the arrows :P :P

welcome btw :D

Welcome. Happens to be one of mine too. Great bow. Try stuffing some old clothes in a grain sack real tight and lube the arrow tips with something like Jig A Loo or CRC (WalMart) to make extraction less a chore.

Welcome Popacap. Great choice in the vortex. Keep your fingers below the rail and don't join the dry fire club. Any questions don't beafraid to ask.

Welcome to the forum. Try Woody's or Scorpion Venom arrow lubes. The make arrow extraction much easier.

Welcome!

I'm jealous... I have my Exo 200 assembled but haven't made an opportunity to fire/sight it in yet. Soon!
