Have Ordered an Ibex-What next

I ordered an Ibex with light package. I also ordered the bolt puller, wax, extra dacron string and stringer.
I would like to make some flemish strings for it but need to know:
1-How many strand of dacron for dacron strings
2-How many strands of D97 for synthetic string
3-What is best serving material to use
4-Length to make string (Hope my jig works)

5-For arrows can I use inserts as the nock? this would allow me to use bolt puller
6-5" feathers for fletching
7-Grizzly single bevel broadheads, bear greens, woodsmans, and Eclipse.

I refuse to use any type of mechanical blade as have seen quit a bit of lost game when compound shooters use them. We don't use them in traditional.

and second,just send all that stuff to me and save yourself from being addicted to crossbows and all the gadgets that go with it.
It's to late for me.

Seriously,it sounds like you have a great start.
You can use an insert for the nock,most do.
the majority here use shorter fletching but I can tell you from experience that the 5" ones go through whitetail just fine.
The broadhead is up to you as long as it shoots well and you can put it in the right spot which one to use is pure preference.

I have been useing 30 strands of 452x so far so good over 200 shots still looks new I did reserve once it did not break but was looking a little wore.
I have been useing Halo .030
on my string jig im not useing the 2 lower pins im useing the pins that give you your count and taper and going around the 48" pin on my board. Im going 5 then 5 then 5 putting them together then useing a different color same thing agian.
But theres a lot of guys that know a lot more than me on this.Im just a old trad shooter

for dacron strings I use 30 strands of B-50

No need to use jig for Flemish string..unless yo0uu get off on making a taper.
I use not jig and let the tag end about 3/4" long, they form a kind of string silencer after being shot. Be sure to wind the serving VERY TIGHT, and in the same direction as the string will be wound, to avoid string separation.

BTW While I find that longer vanes or feathers can stabilize a bigger head (like Thunderheads), they are also affected more by cross wind. After testing all sorts of combinations, settled on 100 Slick Trick mags and 2" Blazers, on a Gold Tip Lazer II shaft with 110 gr brass insert. In a word: SUPER, from both Phoenix and Vortex. And the 350 fps compound does equally well with a 125 gr head. Arrow weight is 405 and 430 gr respectively with 18 and 20% FOC.
