ok, overall everyone can take atleast 1 buck. 99% can take atleast 1 doe

its looking like we may just do a 1buck and 1 doe per person limit to even the odds more since we have more teams this year compared to last.

if we do so, we may just have to add 2 more measurements to the buck score total though to bump the scores some

In my zone in NEW JERSEY

This was for 2008

FALL BOW- two deer one antlered

PERMIT BOW- two deer one antlered if you purchase buck permit

WINTER BOW - two deer one antlered

PERMIT MUZZLELOADER - two deer one antlered if you purchase buck permit

SIX-DAY FIREARM - two antlered deer shotgun or muzzleloader ONLY

some zones have unlimited antlerless you can take two per day

Why the sudden urgency to change the rules after the teams have formed?

wabi, as I posted we wanted to see what teams we had. Rules should never effect how people hunt. Also, nothing is urgent, we have how many months before season starts. Im looking for a way to make everything fair since I would hate to see Va take home first again :P

also, I want to see more deer management which is good for hunting all together. Our kids need to learn this also as they grow

if we do the 1 buck and 2 doe then some 3 person teams will need a 4th member. Again, anything works for me since I dont have issues with any rules LOL. Im more concerned with the local big buck contests that pay

Why not leave the scoring as is? I think this would create competition to shoot the biggest buck you can, leaving smaller ones. Almost everyone will shoot a doe, guranteed points. Just a thought.
