String for Equinox

Post by Nicklas021 »

Hi

I'm new here and to crossbow's. I just bought an Equinox and have two questions.

1. What string follow when buying the crossbow?

2. What string do you recommend for the Equinox?

I'd use the factory EXCEL string untill you get use to shooting the bow. Its safer if you dryfire the bow by accident.

After that, I'd get a Boo string from Boo here. His strings are made very well!! Best out there if you ask me :D

I agree with crazyfarmer.

"Excess wax" is wax build up from using to much wax.
"Center serving" Is the center of the string which has a stiff cord wrapped around the string.
The serving is the part of the string that is captured by the jaws when cocking.
Sometimes there is serving material on the loops of the string also.

Stick with what you have and then get a Boo
