Crossbow sling

Post by DMc »

On another thread Ischa (Laura) posted that she carries her crossbow upside down. I like the thoughts of this but am having trouble determining the proper sling placement to achieve a comfortable carry.

Could any of you, including Laura, who use this method post pictures or describe the placement of the sling that works for you.

Thanks,

Dave

The information is here: http://www.crossbownation.com/community ... php?t=3334 It doesn't work right unless you put a sling mount on the SIDE of the stock instead of bottom center.

Some may not recommend this way, but I use a shotgun sling (the kind with a loop at each end). One loop is on the stirrup and the other goes around the
grip. Sorry I do not have a picture. For stalking I can carry it this way cocked and ready to my side with a bolt on the rail.

Can the sling, set up the regular way, be used with the bow quiver mounted? It looks like the quiver could/would get in the way of carrying comfortably.

Thanks...
