Sorry Boo, but I was bored

Post by wabi »

Raining here today and I needed something to occupy my mind & hands, so I decided to make a bow string. I made a 3-bundle flemish string for the Phoenix and them had the bright idea to make a short video to see if I could pick up the noise of the Phoenix when shot.
The rain is beating down on the metal roof of my shop, but you can hear the results of a dacron string with catwhisker silencers on the Phoenix. The loud thump of the arrow hitting the target is the most noticeable sound! BTW-the Phoenix I'm shooting has had the DBs removed, so the noise you hear would be even less with DBs on the bow.
For those that might ask - NO, I'm not in the stringmaking business!
But Boo can make a dacron string and I'll problably have him make one for me before season gets here. I like the noise reduction with the dacron.

I put everything in random order too. That way, everything is always where it belongs.

That was a quiet shot . . .and deadly too. Looked like a 64 yarder. :)

That bow is quiet.

Nice Man Cave. I used to have one before I moved. Lost all kinds of stuff, but on the flip side, when I straightened up, it was like Christmas all over again.

Actually, there is a place for everything. The problem is all that stuff with no place assigned that's piled between the other places.  If I throw anything away I'll need it the next day, and if I leave it in the pile I'll never need it again.

Poor guy! More comments on the workshop than the great dacron string that he made. I'll bet thats the last time we see his shop.
