I got one of the exact cameras about 2 months ago. Got some brand new Duracell batteries and put in it and set everything. This was my first Moultrie camera, so I thought I would check it out first before taking it to the woods. I hooked it to the back of one of the spam chairs and put a small bag of airsoft bb's behind it to level it out some, and then went to bed.

The next afternoon when I came in from work I kept smelling something that smelled like battery acid. :? Went to go turn the camera off and check the pictures and found where the battery acid smell was coming from. There was all kinds of condensation on the inside of the camera and the back of the case was melted in with a bunch of little dimples from the airsoft bb's. Tried to get the camera unit lose from the case, but they were melted together. :x

That's one thing I'll say about Moultrie, their customer service is pretty good. I mailed the camera to them and about 2 weeks later I got a new camera. To try this one out, I tried the same thing one night and then hooked it up outside one night to see what kind of pictures I would get of the dogs. The day time pictures were first rate. The night time pictures were really grainy and the trigger speed was pitiful. It's not a bad camera for the money (paid $89 for it), but I don't think I'll get another one of them.

Here's a sample of the night pics it takes.........................

Wes . . .take the camera back, there aren't enough horns.

Actually, the pictures are good enough to see what's out there. That's all you need. I might even have to give one a try.

Thanks,

Scott
