Cheap target

Post by Gimpaw »

I finally got to shoot my xbow today. Thanks once again to dw for hooking me up. It would've been another hard year, watching everyone else head out to the woods to bow hunt, while I watched hunting shows on tv (just can't find good recipies for video venison  )

I also wanted to thank all of you who were kind enough to answer all of my questions.

I used an idea that I saw in this site, and I used an old feed bag and filled it with old clothes (minus the rivets, zippers and buttons). Something else that I added to my bag target is old carpet scraps. It worked as well as any $80.00 target.

I used my rifle bench and after 30 minutes of practice and tweeking, I was on the money at 40 yards.

Thanks again to all. I'm sure that I'll be around asking more questions soon.

Way to go, man. I try to shoot one of mine every day. Six targets out back, folks consider them part of the landscape now.
