Home made blind
I thought i would build a ground blind. Its back in a lot of oaks. Several trails crossings. Its just a real nice place to hunt. And best of all its where i like to be in the woods.
Hear is a pic walking to it.
A close up
And what i will be watching.

Heres the story, I was in to moms the other day she had several home made tomato cages made. Out of some heavy fence. Un rolled they were 5'x5' and some metal fence posts. She said i wish someone would hall that stuff off.And i had a bunch of Shoot through camo mesh. And a old Tonneau cover. Hello blind (im a cheep skate). I nailed 2 of the ends to trees set to posts took some baling wire and went to work. I took the saplings that need cut. and placed them across the top wired them down good put the tonneau on and wired it down. I took wire cutters and cut out some shooting windows. Cut the shoot through camo so i could put it up or down. Took the tops of the saplings and brushed it in. I have some more fence and post left Im thinking about one made from a tarp.

I like homemade stuff!!..... Call me cheap too, but I feel it's good to be resourceful.... So many folks today simply want to BUY it and when it doesn't work well enough, they go out and BUY another one...
Building your own blind sure beats spending $399.00 for something that with a little sweat and common sense does the same thing... Good Job!!
Good luck hunting out of it this season...

What a nice looking woods. It looks similar to one of my spots, but you have far less under growth than my spot. I should be out there right now thinning the sapplings out but the skeeters and deer flies are so bad right now.
I hate to rush summer, but your picture make me wish for fall.
