how not to shoot a rifle

Post by Carnivorous »

A touch of frost has heightened your awareness and your heart steadily beats in anticipation. Your senses are suddenly alert to the movement on the forest floor and you realize that the moment of truth is at hand.

Poor instruction I'd say. The stock butt needs to fit in the shoulder pocket before firing. Thats got to hurt.

The guy behind her didn't help any. She may not have taken as hard a hit if he had not been standing there and stopped her head from moving back.

That is something I "Do Not" like to see.
She had very poor instruction to say the least.
He may very well of spoiled it for her.
I wont even let someone shoot my bows with out lots of instruction and closely watched right to the moment its shot.

This is why my girlfriend is learning on a BB gun, then a 22 and keeping her face on the stock. I have been kissed by a stock shooting a shotgun and not being set right but never a scope.

It was hard to watch. You just knew it was coming.
I've seen guys get scoped several times. It made enough of an impression on me to always be careful of it.
YES, you ALWAYS start a newby off on a small calibur.
This guy obviously didn't know what he was doing in the instruction dept.

I wish she would have had better instruction on how to handle the shotgun . She will probably never try again . It makes me wonder if they were setting her up just here just for laughs :(

Obviously some guy that does NOT want his partner to go hunting with him.
And another shop-until-I-drop-while-you-hunt aficionado is born.
