The "BuddyBo Gotta Go"

Post by awshucks »

This idea/invention was posted on HNI a year or two ago, it's the guys version of Vix's SheeWee.

You epoxy two 2 litre plastic lids together after drilling a 3/8" or so hole in the tops of them. Next step is to cut one two litre bottle into a funnel.

The assmebled contraption allows scent free relief, the funnel portion can be left in a stand or blind and the capped bottle taken out w/ you. You of course need a third cap.

Buddy Bo was the inventor, He was looking for a name for it, I felt there was only one, lol.

Half gallon ZipLock bag. Easiest to tote in, out. I carry everything in the pockets of my safety vest. If it don't fit it ain't coming.

This is kind of on the same topic but not. I was talking to an old timer afew years back that I met in the woods. It was one of those conversations that went on and on. Usually I hate those kind but I really enjoyed listening to him. He talked about the old times and how he has seen everything change from when he started hunting. He seen the bottle of doe pee I had in my pocket and he told me it was a waste of money. He was going to let me in on a little secret. He told me he kept a couple glass jars in his blind with caps. Before season he would fill them up then put them up so the sun would shine through them. Opening day he would take one and dump it out in front of the blind. then through out the day he would refill it when he had to go. He would do this all through the season. He told me after the sun beat on it for a few days it smelled horrible but he shot some of the biggest bucks in his life off it. So maybe someone could try this out, then you wouldnt have to worry about hauling anything out.

I've had my pee spots turn into deer scrapes.... I guess they're curious.

Does anyone remember the old Fred Trost (Michigan Outdoors Program) experiment he did about 25 years ago where he set out several containers of stuff to see what the deer would come to first?

It was an open field and the containers were lined up but spaced about 5 feet apart. The containers held ammonia, vanilla, some kind of human food, animal urine and human urine. I don't remember all of them. They filmed the bucks coming to the human urine first most often. I think curiosity may have been the consensus.

At the time Fred Trost was attacking Tinks and all the other scent companies as frauds. He bought himself a ton of trouble in those days. I think that's why he felt the need to get a law degree.

P-Pak I have mentioned this product before. It does work. We have used these for a couple of years now. Great for tree stands and it is usually in the camping supplies.

I suppose you should keep the same spot . . .see what happens. Buck may just dig himself into a hole and make for an easy shot.

I use a Mr. Peebuddy (thats my own name for it. it's pretty neat.
It's a camo covered collapsable bag with a very secure lid.It can roll up in my pocket and if I need it I empty it at home.
