Just finished looking at some pics that a friend sent me.His Subject line read,"How do I get rid of the coons"?Anyone want to shed some light on this subject?I know what your thinking,shoot em?
I had to laugh as they were hanging from his feeder!
They were like kids in a playground!
If im not out shooting deer.
Im home drinking beer!

Slather some axle grease around the bottom of the pole and then wrap barbed wire around the top. Coons have very sensative feet, if they make it through the axle grease, they definatly will not make it throught the wire. Keeps them out of the bird feeder for sure !

Yup, he's right, deterrence is a tough go on those things.. Dead or gone are your only options if there are other animals around.

Take it one step farther, mix some cayenne pepper with that grease, I use Vaseline and tabasco sauce, they will not, under any circumstances cross that mixture.
Some say a coons touch is so sensitive they can distinguish color through touch, I have no doubt they are correct.

fly bait and coke just keep your animals away. Keeps the coons out of the chicken coop out this way. they wont get 10 feet from the bowl if you mix it right.
