Hey guys - do you know if it's legal to have someone else cock the bow?

If it is legal, I'll do it for ya, Bugs! (Do you have a cocking aid?)

Unfortunately no ,you must cock the bow yourself for competition . But if you are not handing in your scorecard then the organizers I`m sure shouldn`t complain .

Well, there ya go, Bugs! The offer is good, if you decide to shoot but not hand in your scores.

I can't remember if you have a cocking aid?

If I go ( am planning on it) and she's in my group I can bring an extra aid and could help her , I use an Exomax and have no problems as I am a Bricklayer and have no probs' with the weights. Correct TPM and Vix

Mark, your line of work certainly helps keep you in shape! We both commented after the Waterloo County shoot how you seemed to cock that Exomax like it was a little slingshot. :o
Weather permitting as much of Team DryFire as we can rustle up will be there. We haven't shot that course yet and we're looking forward to being humbled. Working on the excuses already: "That's not where I was aiming!", "Must have hit a leaf", "I gotta check that arrow!", "Must have bumped my scope after that last shot!" and my favourite, "There's no way that's 35 yards!".

You know those little target cards that people carry at the shoots, the ones that show where the vitals are located on the different targets? Well, Team DryFire has been thinking of producing a set of cards that would list some of the "Official Excuses". That way, when you don't score as well as you'd like to on a target, you could just glance at your cards and pick the appropriate excuse. (Now don't go stealin' our idea before we trademark it! )

No, I'm afraid it will take a lot more than that to keep our group moving along. :? Yak, yak, yak, yak, yak..... We didn't re-name ourselves "Team Stop Talking and Somebody Just Shoot" for nothing. Yak, yak, yak, yak, yak.....

It wouldn't hurt to bring along some waterproof boots. Most of the course is forested and unless we get a dry spell, some spots could be a bit squishy
