I put my university degree to some use and peddle articles to various publications on a freelance basis. I don't want to do it full time, because quite often it is tiring, fruitless and bending to a publisher's demands (i.e. their own personal feelings and beliefs) can try your patience. Plus, it doesn't pay all that well and I'd have to be churning out a large amount of copy in order for it to pay off.

I like the advertising copy gigs the best. At least they're fun and you pretty much have free reign on the content. All you have to do is convince the client that it's what they want.

It gives me something to do while my daughter is napping, in bed for the night or has decided that she's okay to play on her own close by.

It's not what I want to do, but, it gives me some play money. Right now it's the main gig, along with EI when I don't have an assignment...

I've had a job of some sort since I was 12 (things were different back then) and I saved 15 % of my pay for the last 30 years. I should be able to get what I want........ If someone doesn't agree with my logic (ahem) then I pout.

Likewise, I've always had enough.

I do my best to help folks who are less fortunate and feel for the folks who have too much.
I would have too much if I had no toys. I want everyone to have too much. And I spread it around too. :D
