Brace Heights/Pheonix
Have about 30 shots on string that came with new pheonix cb,notice string has stretched considerably. I have installed STS and string rests on bumpers pretty hard, measured and twisted string to approx. 1 1/8" brace height,,also have trimmed posts on sts to shorten till the bumpers are touching sts,,,,is this acceptable? string is dacron to my understanding.
limbender-shaing information teaches all, being honest always wins
New strings can stretch a bit. I only put my STS on for hunting to save on the bumpers. If you have too much pressure on the bumpers, they will wear out faster. Can't find the right words, so the bumpers should just barely contact the string at rest, a well broken in string makes this easier to accomplish and maintain. There, lol.
