Y25 in Africa!

Post by Northern »

Hello all, we are back from our trip with Melorani Safari’s in South Africa and what a great time we had! Stewart runs a great outfit and all his staff were outstanding! From the moment we arrived they made us feel like part of the Family. I went with the main objective to take a Cape Buffalo. Stewart had graciously offered to let me use his 470 Nitro Express Double Rifle for this hunt and it did an outstanding job, putting the big Buff down with one shot! We went on to take another 6 animals, 2 with the Excalibur.

My Wife took her first big game animal ever, a nice Nyala bull!

I have a bunch of pictures up on my facebook page if you anyone is interested in seeing them. You do not need to be a facebook member to look at them.

Great pictures! Sounds like it was a great trip and alot of game taken. Really neat to see you bring down African game with the Excalibur. I also especially like seeing the groundpounder mount in the pictures!

Yes we did try all the game we harvested. Everything was great! Very mild and lean. The Cape Buffalo was tough, and we had the tenderloin! They waste nothing, all the meat is utilized and I mean everything!

Love that Groundpounder mount!

We were only the second Crossbow hunters they had hosted. They were very impressed with my Crossbow. If you’ve ever dreamed of hunting Africa I’d highly recommend this place!

Has anyone gone to the face book page? Just wondering if that link is working?
