How many arrows in your quiver?

Post by ninepointer »

I've got a 3 arrow quiver mounted on my Exocet. The most I've ever used in a single sitting is 2. Just wondering how many arrows you folks take with you during deer season?

I have the 4-arrow standard quiver. On two hunts I've used two arrows. Two deer came home each time.

On one hunt I used all FOUR arrows. I did bag a doe with the third arrow. Its a long story. Most people would have stopped after the first arrow.

I carry a 6 arrow hip quiver.
Usually carry 3 broadheads for deer, one old broadhead for any other critters (like maybe a coyote) that come by and need put down, and a couple blunts.

For hunting I take three arrows in my bow mounted quiver. For 3D I take at least 5 or six in my hip quiver. Arrow attrition can be high when shooting 3D

In reality we should only need 1 but I will be taking 3 for now they will be in a tube I sling over my shoulder for the walk in.

Now that I have lighter bow I may consider going back to an above the bow mount.

8 or more for 3D in the HOT PINK hip quiver

3 or 4 in my hunting quiver. 2 with Wasp Bosses, 1 with a TrophyRidge Hammerhead.

Might add an extra Wasp with a grappler for the new fall turkey season here this year - haven't decided whether I'll buy a tag for that or not yet.

I got 6 . . .and keep a 4 loaded in the car. I get out there and might just shoot at anything sometimes.
