Older Exomag

Post by Dereck »

My friend bought an older Exomag with a deer hide stock was told it was a 175lb.
Have seen someone talking about a 200lb Exomag.

Were there different lb ones?

Thanks in advance for any comments

There was two poundages. The early carved tip limb type was 185# and the newer mag tip limb type was 200#. To know for sure, measure the length of draw. 16" for 185 and 16.5" for 200.

This has the mag tips so I will measure the draw.

Do you measure from the brace height lines on the rail?

Given the fact it has two brace lines and the mag tips, you are talking about a 200# bow.

200 LB fer sure, however and I do stand to be corrected, the stock has been changed as the deer hide brown was a Vixen stock!! Measure the rail length to be sure 200LB as stated is 16.5 on the early models..

In 2003 deerhide brown was offered on all models. However sales proved less than desireable. As a means to use up remaining the stocks, the following year the Vixens were only available in Deerhide Brown, as economy models.
