Goose Opener for Me

Post by Big John »

Geese were not in the fields I have. :( So we could only hunt the shore to lake scenario. Well Friday, waves and wind, three ft. waves!
No decoys go out and no Geese in range. Saturday go out, same waves, no decoys go out, lots of Geese, none in range , but almost.
Today we go out, no waves to speak of, but no Geese flying anywhere!!  Then about 9:45 two Geese buzzing the shore came to close to my spread! Bang! Bang! Bang! Two Geese down. Forgot the camera, but took two pics of the spread, then my battery died on the phone, so the next pic is after cleaning and ready for the BBQ!! :D :D At my house. Sorry. Thought I would share with you all anyway. Tell you one thing though, sitting against the Bank on rocks and dirt sure did a number on my back! But it was worth it! :D

Myself and a friend went to hullet wildlife area this morning and managed 7 geese, and as luck would have it, as we we were finishing packing up three flocks came into our area  , probably around 300 birds  . I think they were pointing and laughing at us for leaving so soon. We started packing up at noon, but still had a good morning.
