Best 100 grain broadhead to use with the Excalibur Equinox?

Post by PAHUNTER »

Thanks for the help and ideas. I found the 100 grain field tips to group better than 150 grain so was looking at shooting 100 grain broadheads. :?:

I usually use the 125grain spitfire broadheads they work great out of my equinox. This year I am trying the rage 100 gr. 2 blade because of all the hype about these heads; therefore, I can let you know how they work. I can say the 100 grain rage practice head they give you can hit they same dime size sticker at 20yards just like my field tips. I will not be suprised if the rage works well on a deer but the price on these heads are extremely high.

P.S I got your personal mail live probably 30 minutes away. I am going out this saturaday for the early 2b antlerless season GOOD LUCK if you go.

I like the 100 grain Atom Broadhead. It only has a one inch cut but it flys point of impact with my field points.

I'm of the opinion it's not so much the bow as arrow. Slicks seem to like the higher FOC that comes w/ brass inserts. Just 2 cents from the cheap seats.

All those fixed blades have parts too . . .something could go wrong.

I would use the 2" cut Hammerhead . . .they fly exactly like field points and they drop the deer in a hurry. My second choice would be the Spitfire in a 1.5" cut. Running a very close third would be a Slick Trick.

Good luck! 8)

Mech: Rage 3 blade
Fixed: slick trick

either will get the job done.. I like both, but the rage really out performs the slicks on groups. Espically in the 30-40yard range
