Q? About Dropzone scope

How does the dropzone adjust for yardage? When I twist the ring it unscrews the eye piece. Do you twist it & then tighten the eye piece up against it?

Thanks for your answer - I know that it was for bows up to 300fps - do you think it would it work on a Phoenix??
