reflective tape to find your stand I hate this stuff---

Post by Hoss »

VENTING HERE--->Nothing in the world turns me off more than to go to a place to scout. Start walking through the beautiful woods then to run on to reflective tape that is every 5th tree just dangling in the wind. When its dark there is so much of it it looks like some kind of fantasy trail winding thru the woods to a tree or blind that someone intends to hunt. I understand its a need. But why dont they remove it when the season is over..

Ok Im done

Feel the same way about the tape should be removed when season is done or stand is moved.
I do use a clip like a small clothes peg that is orange and has two reflective dots one on either side.
Removable and reusable.

We have the same with trail marker tape, it gets annoying. You never know what line you are on because there are do many.

I actually just put a stand up and will not tell anyone but my dad where it is, no reflective anything, just have to do it all by memory.

What I usually do is put my first marker 5 to 10 yds off trail or field from a predetermined land mark.
This way I know where to look not just anyone walking by will see it.
