Try some Teflon based spray lube and shooting it at least as much as your old one, then compare. I took mine apart and gently polished the articulating surfaces, helped immensely. BUT I do trigger work on guns so know what I'm doing.

Why hunt? Simple, it's BASIC. Why breath?!

The trigger on my 'Max is better than the trigger on a number of guns I own! :!:

Strange, but true.

The Max I owned had about 1/8th inch slack before it would shoot. I could take that out with safety on before I shot it.

I have a phoenix and I felt the trigger was better than any rifle I ever owned. I then got a vortex and felt the same way you feel now. I shot the vortex quite a lot but it does not feel as smooth as the phoenix. I realize one bow is pulling 175 lbs and the other is pulling 200 lbs. i do believe in time the vortex will become very similiar to the trigger pull of the phoenix.
