What vanes do you have on your hunting arrows and why?

I use the 2" blazers because of the weight . . .gives me a little better FOC & speed. I didn't have any negative issues using them with my mechanicals. They are just as accurate as the 4" & 5" vanes I was using.

I like them because the vanes don't crinkle up as much when shooting through targets/bales.

i have 2" Blazers that when they fall off will be replaced with 4" Duravanes. i have been refletching all of mine as the do that. i had 3 Blazers drop off last Dec. all in one morning pulling up quiver into climber. lucky my quiver held 4 as the 4th one had all 3 vanes still on it. i used it to slick a 4 pt couple hrs later.

Blazers falling off isn't the vanes fault, it's likely the glue or poor prep.
Try Gorilla crazy glue. It WORKS>

must be my poor prep, as i have found out that the couple hundred i was sent was to be cleaned of mold release agent. i failed to do that.

I just make sure the shaft is clean and the bottom of the vane is clean.. then put a thing line of glue down the vane and I havent had any issues yet. Keep in mind, no matter what glue you use if you get pass throughs or bury the arrow to the nock they will start to peal back.

It helps if you put a small drop of glue on the front of the vane after its on the shaft. That way you get a little extra protective cover

Arrow preparation is key: Remove all old glue residue with acetone and then scrub them with hot water and comet using a scotch brite pad. Rinse thoroughly with hot water and let dry. Do not clean the Blazer vanes. They are chemically treated for adhesion (as per instructions on the package). For Excal bows they need to be at leasts 3/4" from the nock. I see most fletched about an inch and a quarter.

7/8ths up to 1 1/8th inches is a safe distance that works..

I keep mine right around 1inch

I keep mine anywhere from 7/8" to 1-1/4". Depending on the customer.
I use lots of fletching types including feathers, but I prefer the Blazers by far.
