Yup likely not very tender ... I think I would have let that one go. Call me crazy but if he lived that long I would likely let him keep on living.
Would probably be all right ground.

I concur! :D

I make ground-meat jerky (Slim-Jim style) out of mature bucks and old does!

Jerky doesn't know the difference! :P

Yep,
The meat would be best served ground and highly seasoned.
The rack might make me break down and pay a taxidermist some cash, though.

Yea me too . I'd let that one walk too. NOT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would be hoping Camerron was in the stand with me and I had the camera so I could tape him shooting it.
Clean them cool them out good and grind it up or make jerky out of it . Its all good.

That town is about 35 miles from me. Big bucks like that generally do not get caught out walking around when its light out until rut. WOW, thats big.

Wes
I was wodnering that also.. looks like someone pumped something into him.

anyone hear anymore details about that buck? He's huge for a wild free roam deer if thats the case? Not putting anyone down since he's a beast. You just dont see them in the wild that size unless its strict management or pen raised

kinda odd its no scores posted which might be because its an pen deer?

I need to find out the secrets before I shoot mine for the photo contest . . .no entry or exit wound that I can see. Maybe he was shot in the mouth. :? I agree with Wes . . .the racks now adays seem to be deformed. Maybe they are getting too much to eat?
I'd rather wear out than rust out.
