Broadhead Failure

Post by saxman »

After at least 75 shots with the 3 NAP Bloodrunner broadheads I have been testing I finaly had a failure.
one of the bottom pivot screws backed out and is gone.
A replacement screw would make it good as new.

I have used and abused these heads, pushing them through and pulling them out of a cheap wally world block target that is filled with all types of materials.

I am impressed with these heads.I didn;t think they would hold up this well.
Had I payed attention to the screws it would still be shooting.
Not bad for a hybrid head like this.
I will post pic's when I can find my camera.

P.S.
Two more wake up's

What I want to see is pics of the wound after you put one through a deer.
I've got some Trophy Ridge heads somewhere between here and Florida on their way back for an exchange. They didn't pass the spin test, so I'm exchanging them for a pack of new ones.
Thinking of trying mechanicals again, but I want something I can count on to perform. I'll be following your posts on these heads, too. :D

I bet if you called NAP they would send you some screws. That is a broadhead that I have had my eye on for awhile.

I sent them an e mail requesting some screws.
Thanks for the suggestion.
I sharpened the remaning heads with the G5 sharpener and they sharpened up real good.
I have 3 new heads if I need them but I want to put the others through the ringer and see how they hold up.
If they can take what I have put them through, sharpen up and do as advertised on game then I am sold.

You can't beat that kind of customer service.
