Cases and Slings ?

Post by Corpsvette »

Does anyone use a sling? I have the excalibur one but wondering if I will even utilize it. Also, I have the padded Excalibur case. Does anyone actually carry it out to the tree stand with them or leave in the truck/vehicle/ATV. I know it double as a seat. Anyone use it that way? Thanks.

Up here we have to have it cased 1/2 hr before and after sunrise, sunset.

So I just use the soft bag that I put sling on.

Cases and Slings

I have had difficulty in finding a soft non padded case for my 2nd xbow. I do not like the bulk of the padded case for handling when I reach my stand. I made a case out of camo material and then attached nylon webbing to the case and this fulfills the need for encasing and sling.
Material and zippers and webbing were from a fabric outlet.
Not complicated to sew up and works well.

Has to be cased or in the back of the truck here so I use a soft case to transport to parking site. Sling, you bet. Narrow, rubber with embedded green nylon belt (The Claw?) works great for carry but so unobtrusive that I leave it on in stand.

I have a sling and the padded case. I use the sling to help steady my shot if I'm standing, just kinda wrap it around my left arm and it seems to make for a better shot. It can get in the way at times though. I have the padded case for transporting to keep it out of sight and going in and out of the blind. I've had a xbow stolen in the last year, so making the efforts to keep it better hidden in my car, so the case helps.

I took the backpack straps off an old golf bag and they fit perfect on my
padded case. Makes climbing into my stand easy as both hand are free.

I use a sling when I have the quiver off, it gets in the way when on. I use the padded case for transportation only, to bulky otherwise !

Sling and have been for practice with my Horton knee stand. but the season opens on the 1st. and time will tell if the Sling stays or not.

I find the standard Xbow case bulky and hard to find a place to put them but the fact that my Excal. can be broken down or set up in less than 2 minutes with two 3/16" hex bolts makes this 2 gun case great for transportations.
just another reason I love this Xbow.

I leave case in my truck, most of the time I leave it at home and just cover bow with a jacket in the truck as for the sling I always use it walking in and out of the bush
